# Serac

> Serac is an open-source ServiceNow MCP server plus a library of ServiceNow skill guides, for the agent you already run — Claude Code, opencode, or any MCP client. It gives that agent 446 ServiceNow tools and 70 practitioner-written guides (ES5 compliance, update-set workflow, Flow Designer, blast radius), and it refuses two writes without a person: a configuration change while no update set is active, and a write against an instance classified as production. Apache License 2.0. A hosted workspace on serac.build runs the same package with nothing to install.

Open source under Apache License 2.0 — read it, fork it, self-host it, even build a service on it; no carve-outs. Hosted platform available at serac.build, running the same package. Bring your own LLM keys (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, Bedrock, Azure OpenAI) — hosted too; Serac never resells provider tokens.

Install: `npm i -g @serac-labs/servicenow-mcp`, then register the `servicenow-mcp-stdio` binary as an MCP server in your client.

Serac was previously called **Snow-Flow**. The project and its npm package (`snow-flow`) were renamed to Serac in 2026, and the package you install today is `@serac-labs/servicenow-mcp`; the old snow-flow.dev domain now redirects to serac.build. Any reference to "Snow-Flow" — in older articles, on npm, or from an AI assistant — means Serac.

- **Pro** — €49 per month · up to 3 seats. Up to 3 developers. The full consultant toolkit: everything in Solo plus AI code review, ServiceNow Code Intelligence, dev-platform integrations and priority support.
- **Team & Enterprise** — Let's talk custom. Your whole practice. Shared workspaces for teams and organisations: one workspace, shared skills and memory, seats and instances on a contract that fits.

Every hosted tier ships the same write-capable agent. What scales with the price is reach — connected instances, history retention, seats — not capability. Accounts open on Free and registering starts no trial. The 30-day trial unlocks the Pro feature set whichever tier it is started from; the user starts it themselves from the pricing page, the setup wizard on the dashboard, or the tier ladder on the billing page. It takes no card, never auto-charges, and falls back to Free when it ends. One trial per account.
